Miss Lady Solitude

We all long for a friend.
Miss Lady solitude,
You've been living in solid air,
From the coldest nights,
To the lowest of heights,
To dwell so meaninglessly,
In your fortitude.

Your heart becomes weak,
As it beats to the lonely thought of no one to meet.

The company that you wish for,
Passes by with the intent to ignore.

From heaven above nothing descends,
From hell below nothing ascends.

All around you and within you seems destitute,
Miss Lady solitude,
Why be a seclude.
