Moisturizing Face Mask Recipes

Looking for some moisturizing face mask recipes to keep your skin smooth and supple this winter? Then this is the article for you. Some of the best face mask recipes are given which you can easily make at home.
Winter!!! The white snow, a trip to the ski resorts, the warm colorful woolens, Christmas...this is the first thought that comes to our mind when we think of winter. But for some unlucky ones out there, winter means chapped and dried lips, dry skin, cracked heels and so on. Come winter and you will find people scurrying to the nearest store trying to grab hold of all the creams and lotions that they can get so that they do not have to spend one more winter with dried and chapped skin. These creams, I agree, do help to keep your skin moisturized, but for how long? Not for the entire day I believe. Why not try out moisturizing masks which are not only natural, but they also keep your skin smooth, supple and moisturized for long. Here are some moisturizing face mask recipes which you can try out at home.

Homemade Face Masks

Instead of spending your money on the various creams and lotions for moisturizing your face this winter, why don't you try making your own face mask? Just look around you and you will find so many things that you can use in your recipe. Learn to make a face mask and then use these as they are natural and will not harm your skin unlike some of the products which are found in the market.

Face Mask 1
Here's a great homemade face mask for dry skin. Mix some honey (let me tell you here, honey is one of the best moisturizer available for dry skin. You can try a honey face mask. Apply it daily for smooth and glowing skin), vegetable oil and few drops of lemon juice. Mix them well, then apply it on your face and neck. Avoid the area around the eye. Leave this for 10 to 15 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water.

Face Mask 2
Another face mask to make at home is the mixture of egg yolk with that of olive oil and lemon juice. Make a paste of this and then apply it on your face and neck and leave it for around 10 to 15 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water. It will leave your skin soft and moisturized.

Face Mask 3
Honey and milk mixed together and applied on the face and neck, is another good homemade facial for moisturizing skin. Here's another mix which you can try at home. Mix some honey and yogurt and apply it on your face. Leave it on for sometime and then wash it off with warm water. Try it out, it really works.

Face Mask 4
Make a mixture of 1 whole ripe banana (smashed), almonds (powdered), honey and mineral water. Mix them well and then apply it on your face. Leave it for at least 30 minutes and then wash it off and feel the soft and smooth skin. This mask is sure to leave your skin moisturized the whole day.

Face Mask 5
Make a paste of cucumber and aloe vera and then apply that on your face. Leave it on for at least 20 to 25 minutes and then wash it off and then pat your face dry with a soft towel. This face pack is really good for keeping your skin moisturized the whole day.

They are, as you can see, simple and use only natural ingredients. Hence, there is no chance of these masks creating problems for your skin. With these recipes at hand, no longer will you dread the winter.
