Porsche, Rolls-Royce, and Maybach are few of the most expensive car brands in the world...
There are many types of cars available in the automobile market; such as small cars, mid-sized cars, large cars, SUVs, luxury cars, muscle cars, sport cars, and so on. Each type of car class has its own set of unique features and model specifications. Out of all these, there are some cars which are the most expensive, such as luxury cars and sport cars. And there are even brands whose products are mainly focused on driving requirements of the rich class. Maybach and Mercedes-Benz are some of the best examples of the most expensive car manufacturers in the world.

Maybach
Maybach-Motorenbau GmbH is a luxury car company from Germany which operates under Daimler AG corporation. The models manufactured by the company are thought of as top 10 most expensive cars in the globe. The starting price of 2009 Maybach 57 is $344,000; the Maybach 62 Zeppelin costs $677,000; whereas the Maybach Landaulet semi-convertible is priced at just over a million.

Mercedes-Benz
Just like the luxury car brand 'Maybach', Mercedes-Benz is also a subsidiary of Daimler AG corporation. Cars from Mercedes-Benz are primarily focused on road safety and utmost passenger comfort. It has got various car series such as the S-Class starting at $91,000; the CL-Class starting at $113,150; the SLK-Class with a price from $47,650; the SL-Class at $102,600 as the starting price range, and the SLS AMG at $183,000. Also included in the list of the top ten most expensive cars is the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, which is priced at $450,000 for the base model.

Rolls-Royce
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is a British brand of luxury cars, working under the ownership of the BMW Group. Two of the most popular cars from the brand being manufactured are the Phantom and Ghost. The Phantom was offered at a starting price of $300,000; whereas the Ghost costs about $255,000. The Rolls-Royce brand has made more sales than its primary competitor 'Maybach'.

Bugatti
Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. is an automobile manufacturer from Alsace, France which is a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group, formed in 2000. It has produced two variants of the Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4, out of which the latest 'Super Sport' version is considered the fastest street legal car in the world. The price of the Bugatti 'Super Sport' is believed to be around $2,700,000.

Porsche
Porsche Automobil Holding SE is an automobile producer or luxury and high-performance automobiles from Germany. It holds a major stake in 'Volkswagen AG' which is the owner of the 'Volkswagen Group' which includes famous car brands like Volkswagen, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Bentley, Audi, and Skoda. One of the most expensive cars in the world is the Porsche Carrera GT, priced at around $484,000. Porsche's Cayenne Turbo SUV costs $106,000; whereas the 911 GT2 comes at around $245,000.

Ferrari
Ferrari is an Italian manufacturer of high-performance sports cars. The Ferrari Enzo is list-priced at a good $659,330, whereas the Ferrari F40 was offered at $400,000. On the other hand, the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is currently offered for $304,000. Another notable car from the giant is the Ferrari F430 whose price ranges from $186,925 to $217,310. There are many other powerful and high-performance cars from the brand that are expensive enough for a common man to afford.

There are many others such as Audi, BMW, Lexus, Aston Martin, Maserati, Cadillac, and many more. Since car parts of these machines don't come cheap, these are also the most expensive car brands to repair and maintain. Note that the prices may even increase if advanced accessories and upgrades are opted for.
