Drink Plenty of Water
Drinking two to three liters of water everyday, and keeping the body hydrated is very important to avoid saggy skin after weight loss. Water is a very vital nutrient and aids in many bodily functions. It makes for about seventy-five percent of our body weight. Drinking lots of water everyday ensures that the unwanted toxins and wastes in our body get removed, leaving our skin feeling soft, healthy and supple. A well hydrated body resulting in a well moisturized skin, is much more unlikely to sag and get wrinkles, than a water starved one.

Apply Sunscreen
Many a time, saggy skin under eyes and on the face, could be due to premature aging, caused due to over exposure to the ultra violet rays of the sun. In order to avoid this, wear a sunscreen with minimum SPF 30, fifteen minutes before stepping out in the sun. It takes this much time for the sunscreen to get absorbed in the skin. Also, if possible avoiding sun altogether, by remaining indoors during the peak summer hours, i.e between ten a.m. to four p.m, will be extremely beneficial to avoid dryness and sagging skin.

Lose Weight Slowly
In order to avoid saggy skin, a weight loss regimen should be planned in such a way that no more than three to four lbs of weight is lost per week. If a person is losing more weight than this, it means that he is losing lean muscle mass, and not fat, which will result in the person getting a saggy skin later on.

Exercise and Follow a Healthy Diet
Saggy skin after pregnancy, can be gotten rid off, by exercising regularly. The exercise program however, should include both cardiovascular exercises as well as weight training. An exercise routine, which lays appropriate emphasis on fat loss and muscle toning and building, helps in improving the muscle to fat body composition. Due to strengthened muscles, one can avoid and get rid of saggy skin.

In order to build muscles, a person needs to consume more calories than he will burn through exercises. So, along with lifting weights, one has to eat a healthy balanced diet, which includes all the essential nutrients, especially proteins, to build more muscles and to avoid saggy skin. Research show that a diet enriched in vitamin A and vitamin B, is especially beneficial for the health of the skin. So, include foods rich in vitamin A such as eggs, carrot and milk, as well as foods rich in vitamin B such as bananas, avocados, tuna, oats and legumes, in the diet.

Avoid Smoking
Smoking is very harmful, not only for our health, but also for our skin. Smoking everyday can cause premature aging of skin, resulting in dryness and skin losing its elasticity. So keep away from smoking to avoid getting a saggy skin.

Massage
Regularly massaging the skin with essential oils, such as coconut oil or olive oil, helps in improving the circulation of blood in the area. So, a good way to get rid of sagging skin is to do regular face and body massages.

Saggy Skin Home Remedies

Besides, regular exercising and eating a healthy diet, there are a number of home remedies too, which a person with saggy skin can follow. Here are two very effective saggy skin remedies.

Saggy Skin Remedy #1
Combine one tablespoon of sugarcane juice in two teaspoons of turmeric powder, to form a paste. Now massage this paste in the body areas where there is saggy skin. Leave on for fifteen minutes and then wash off. Use this remedy once a week for best results.

Saggy Skin Remedy #2
Skin toners are very useful to give the skin a rejuvenated feel. Strawberries are known to be natural skin toners. Simply crush a few strawberries and mix them with two teaspoons of yogurt. Apply the mixture to the face, leave on for fifteen minutes and then wash off.

It is easier to avoid saggy skin, rather than getting rid of it later. Any amount of exercises or lifestyle changes will not be able to remove very saggy skin. Although, wrinkles and fine lines on the face can be treated with some salon treatments such as botox injections and chemical peeling, once the skin has sagged, it is very difficult to reverse the process. The only option in such a case would be to go in for a cosmetic surgery.
