So Long

A time to move on.
I woke up this morning,
And collected my gain,
Threw my sack 'cross my shoulder,
And headed for the train,
So long,
So long!

I left you still sleeping,
It's good for your head,
It'll help when you realize,
I've left my side of the bed,
So long,
So long!

I made you a promise,
That this day would come,
For nothing lasts for evermore,
And we're over and done,
So long,
So long!

Do excuse my absence,
But you can fill the space,
For there are plenty more out there,
Who'd gladly take my place,
So long,
So long!

So farewell old lover,
And I shall say no more,
I'll leave you reviewing memories,
You've never reviewed before.
So Long!
