A New Year

A poem for New Year's Eve.
The day is spent and
Exhaustion beckons all to sleep,
But excitement remains.
For I as well as everyone
Can feel the change,
The buzz in the air.
It electrifies, it fries
Our senses, drives them wild.
And we stand here,
Stand and cheer,
As a brand new year
Is here.
Did you like it?
Yes
No
Kind of...
Indifferent
