Being Beautiful - Chapter Twenty Four

Briana is a 16-year-old girl who hosts a web show. She doesn't know her life without it and she just gives great advice on how to love yourself and no one else.
Chapter 24: Caught

Eric pulled me into the tightest hug once we were offstage and the host of the awards was onstage. I couldn't stop hugging him and I couldn't stop crying. He soothed me by patting my hair and cooing in my ear.

"You deserved it," Louis said rubbing my back. I separated from Eric and looked at him. "Your web show is amazing. I mean, not as amazing as our."

I stifled out a laugh and hugged him as well. "Thank you both so much." I pulled back from him and looked at them both. "You both are just, oh so amazing."

"What do you think you are?" Louis said. "People look up to your web show. Seriously. I looked at the polling earlier today when we were getting ready. You were in the led by 5%. I'm still not sure how we won."

"Seriously?" I asked. Eric and Louis both nodded. "I'm still glad that everything turned out the way it has. We both win."

"We actually did," Eric said smiling. "C'mon, let's head back to our seats."

As we got back to our seats, the host was ending the show. He bid us all goodbye and that's when everything ended. I stood up along with Eric and Louis and we made our way to the guest seats when we were stopped by Ty and Ricky.

Ty and Ricky had a stare off with Eric and Louis. They both looked upset at one another. The tension was so bad as I looked between both pairs of boys. I cleared my throat and that was when everyone else noticed that I was still standing there.

"Hey Briana," Ricky said smiling. "Congratulations... Sort of."
"Thanks... sort of." Ricky smiled at me and so did Ty. I motioned backwards at Eric and Louis. "Have you met Eric and Louis?"

"The question is do we have to," Ty mumbled.
I bit my lip. "You guys-"

"Don't worry about it Briana," Eric said placing his hand on my shoulder. He gave it a squeeze before he and Louis walked toward their destinations.

I looked back at Ty and Ricky, exasperated. "What?" Ty asked. "You know how we feel about them."

"Right," I said. "You know how you feel about them just because you've actually talked to them."

"Briana, you don't understand those guys," Ricky said.

"Do I? You've been knowing them, or sort of for years and I barely met them this year and they've done the most selfless thing in the world: gave me their award." I stared at Ricky and Ty who were at a loss for words. "Maybe I've been friends with the wrong people."

Both of their faces dropped as I walked past them both. "Briana!" I looked up and saw Liz run straight towards me and hug me. "Oh my gosh, you looked so beautiful onstage! Did you see the clip of your web show on the big screen." And she went on and on and on.

"Thanks Liz," I said prying her off of me. "Eric and Louis are really amazing."

"Speaking of them," Liz said. "I saw you, Ricky and Ty talking to them both. How did that all go?"

"They won't even give them a chance," I mustered out.

"Briana!" And the whole family came rushing at me with hugs and compliments. Liam and Lucas took my award to somewhere and I was just overwhelmed with the love that I was so used to getting.

"How amazing was that?" Ian asked as he threw his arm over my shoulder.

"Amazing," I said smiling. "Now the whole world knows how awkward I am."

"I think that they figured that out when they watched your web show."

"That was me being candid," I said smiling. "Big difference."

"Baby you looked so amazing up there!" Alexander said kissing my forehead.

And the compliments just kept rolling in that entire night. We spent that night all going to dinner (even Dell) and just having an amazing gathering. I was glowing all night long. I got compliments from people who had watched the Web-Lee's, people who were at the Web-Lee's and some of the people that were nominated for different awards. I felt so popular.

I was the last person in bed when we got to the house. It had to have been one a.m. when I got out of the shower and stared in the mirror at my face. Everything about me looked so fake. It was surreal how I had changed in a couple of days.

Just when I was about to wash my face, my phone rang loudly and I hurried to answer it. "Hello?" I asked.

"Hi sweetheart!" Dad.

"Dad! Hi. How are you?"

"How am I?" He asked laughing. "How are you? You just technically in a way one an award tonight!"

"You and mom watched it?"

"Me, your mom, your aunt and Kherington watched it. It was just amazing. You looked so beautiful, and I see that your speaking skills haven't approved."

"Thanks dad," I said rolling my eyes, but nonetheless smiling. "I wished that you could have been there to see how badly I was crying."

"I could only imagine. Your mother was crying and so was your aunt. I can only deal with two crying ladies. If I were to see you cry, I'd lose it." I laughed loudly.

"Da-"

"Hold on a second lovely." I heard him speaking to someone in the background and then he came back to the phone. "Your aunt wants to talk to you."

My heart fluttered as I turned around to lean on the counter. "Really?"

"Yeah. Here she is."

There was muffling over the receiver and then a womanly voice. "Briana?"

"Hi Aunt Rebecca."

"Hello sweetheart. Congratulations."

"Thanks Aunt Rebecca. It means so much to me."

"You've worked hard for this. Kherington watches your web shows. I used to watch them with her too when I was well." I held my breath. "Briana, do me a favor."

"Anything."

"Be there for your family and do what they say. Stay by your sister's side at all costs."

"Yes ma'am." I heard her chuckle a bit. "Can you do something for me in return?"

"Anything as well."

"Can you take your medicine?" I heard the line go silent. "Can you please do that for me. If your motto is do what your family says, then listen to me. Listen to my mom and dad and your daughter. We want you to be healthy. It's not your time to go."

"Briana-"

"Aunt Rebecca, please. I'm right. You know I am which is why you're trying to plead to me." It was silent for a minute. "Please Aunt Rebecca."

"Here’s your father," she said.

I sighed as my father got back on the phone. "Is everything okay?" She asked me.

"Everything is just fine dad," I muttered.

"Well we'll see you in the late afternoon tomorrow."

"Night dad." As I hung up the phone and slammed it down on the sink, it rang once more. "Hello?"

"Meet me outside," Kaleb said before he hung up. I sighed and hung up the phone.

I walked out of the room and searched through my bag for clothes. I remembered with pink wind shorts and a black tank top. Once I was dressed, I eased my way outside only to be pushed against the wall by Kaleb.

"Gosh you scared me!" I scream whispered.

"Well I wanted to make sure that I got you right where I want you," he said smiling at me. I rolled my eyes and blushed. He looked down at my outfit, raised an eyebrow and then looked back at me. "It's winter Briana and you have on this."

"I didn't have an hour to pick out my nightclothes. You just told me to meet you outside and that's what I did."

"Don't blame this on me," he said leaning up from me.

I rolled my eyes. "My outfit aside, what made you ask me to come out here?"

"Oh yeah," he mumbled stepping farther from me. "That."

I raised an eyebrow at him as he began pacing back and forth. "Kaleb?" He didn't respond, but he kept walking back and forth. I walked in front of him, stopping him. "What's the matter?"

"What if I maybe, possibly told someone about us."

My eyes bulged. "Someone like who?" I asked, my breathing labored.

"Someone like Dell?" He asked.

I held my smile in. "Why'd you tell her?" I asked.

"Because," he said leaning against the wall opposite me. "I could tell that she was gaining real feelings for me. So just a minute ago, she kissed me when we were downstairs and I had to tell her. I felt awful."

I bit my lip. "How did she take it?"

"She was furious at first 'cause she thought that I was cheating on you until I actually explained it. Then she felt stupid because she felt like a slut and now she wants to talk to you."

"In a bad way or a good way?"

"Good I guess? Anyway, I told her you were asleep so she's gonna come and talk to you before we leave." I could hear him breathing heavily and I just smiled. "What? Why are you smiling?"

"Because you're stressed about nothing." I walked across the hall and leaned against his body. "Just calm down." He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer to him.

I reached up and pressed my lips against his. His hands roamed my body and mine were taped to his hair, letting my fingers run through it. His lips were removed from mine and then placed on my neck as he kissed it up and down. I couldn't help but let out a slight moan as he turned me around and pinned me against the wall.

"Some people like to get a bit chummy in the hallway." I stopped right in place as did Kaleb. He stood up from me extremely fast and I reached around him to see who had been watching us the whole time.

My mouth fell slant when I saw who it was.

Maureen - It's your favorite chapter seriously? I love Eric too. I think everyone laughed at the "I'm so awkward" part. I'm glad that you guys did. Lol. I know! And when I saw your comment last, I was like whaaa. My classes are pretty fun. I have 5 of them a day and they're all like 1 hour and 14 minutes. OMG. They just didn't stop with the tests and stuff, did they? I only had like 2 quizzes. I saw your story! I actually commented on the second one. My name is "Briana" so if you see that name on any of your chapters, then you'll know that it's me exactly. Hmm. Should I give you guys my fb name and we can communicate through there?

Dina.A - Thanks for commenting now. We can start building our friendship like I've done with the other girls that have commented. Omg. Why would you be called a biatch/beyatch in your society?

Purple - Omg no! My intentions weren't for you to hate Dell! I bet you love Kaleb after this chapter though.

Rhyia - If you called me Briana in your mind, then your mind must be smart! lolol. You guys started 12 days before our school did. That's just gay. OMFG. They give you guys laptops? I'm so jelly belly. That's just like, omg. I hate History, don't worry lol. Aw, no. Sowwy. I don't have Twitter, cause I don't like it. Actually, I was thinking about giving you guys my Facebook and you can add me on there? I'll poll it. Oooh. I'll get into the whole thing about why everyone hates Eric and Louis. I put it in like one of the chapters. Chapter 19 I think. He flipped a table or something, but there's something deeper and I'll get into that in the next chapter.

TAYLORSWIFT - I KNOW! I love him so much. I love that part when she says, "I'm so awkward" 'cause in like reality, I am awkward. Thank you so much. People tell me that I am, but each time I hear it, it's like I've heard it for the first time again. Thank you once again.

Evelyn - You started clapping? That makes me smile.
