Everlasting Fire

The poem describes itself...
You had put a closure to every start,
You couldn't see the pureness in my heart,
The lucent truth you had always denied,
Darkened with insincerity on your side.

I struggled for you to feel my love's heat,
The love I lit to extinguish the remaining conceit,
Yet you let me be burned in my own fire,
You ashed my feelings and ignored my desire.

Years have passed and yet I still grieve,
For us to be together, I could never achieve,
Never had you been nor are to blame,
Since I had lit the fire and still clutching the flame.
