Everything Will Be Fine

Not where it was meant to go, but I'm okay with it.
"Don't worry, now.
Do not resign.
We are all here.
Everything will be fine."

"Pick your self up.
Let that smile shine,"
That's what she said
"Everything will be fine."

Whenever I got hurt,
Bones to realign,
She'd say again,
"Everything will be fine."

When she got a tumor,
It was not benign.
She smiled and said,
"Everything will be fine."

She didn't get better,
Her health in decline.
She said, "I have money saved,
Everything will be fine."

At her funeral,
Tears shed weren't just mine.
I whispered, "Don't worry, mom.
Everything will be fine."
