Fly Away - Chapter 13

"You can't, too much people watching us." I whispered in his ear.
Me and David went downstairs and found everyone already eating and chatting in the backyard. There was music playing and some people dancing.

"Do you want me to bring you something?" David asked.

"I'll go with you 'cause I'm not sure what to eat."

I could see Tom and Kelly sitting on what I supposed to be an old bench, laughing and playing around with each other.

"Ew, I already hate her!" I said.

"Oh yeah, welcome to my world." He laughed.

I was starting to really like this guy, he was so cute.

"How come you don't have a girlfriend?"

"What?" He smirked at me.

"What... what? I said nothing."

"You just asked me why I didn't have a girlfriend! Do you thing I'm too hot to be single?" He teased.

"What? Noooo." I blushed.

"I might call you tomato from now on."

"Ugh stop it." I did puppy eyes and hoped he would give up.

"Ok, ok, you win." He leaned closer to kiss me.

"You can't, too much people watching us." I whispered in his ear.

"Meet me in your room in ten minutes then." He smiled his biggest smile.

He didn't even let me reply by disappearing between the innumerous people who were there.

I smiled at the thought that we would meet and probably kiss a couple of more times!

"Ugh, stop thinking about him like that, you don't like him. You can't like him already." I thought to myself.

I went to the bathroom and knocked to see if there was someone. There was no reply so I came in.

"What the -?" A girl said.

"I knocked and you didn't reply. Sorry." I apologized.

She turned her face to me and I could tell she had been crying.

"Are you okay?" I asked looking worried.

"Why do you care?"

"Why were you crying?"

"You have nothing to do with that." She replied looking away.

"I'll try to help you if you explain me what happened." I smiled a little so that she could see, I was there to support her.

She extended me her arm and pulled up her sleeve. There were cuts, blood and scars covering her skin.

She started crying when she saw my face. I was looking more than worried, I was panicking because I had never seen something that bad and I didn't know what to do or say.

"What's your name?" I asked her, reaching for some cotton and soaking it in water to wash her arm.
