Fly Away - Chapter 2

What's going to happen to Liz? I hope you enjoy this one! I'm trying to improve my writing.
I opened the class door with Sam by my side, and inside of the classroom I could see students chatting, texting, screaming and runnin' but, no teacher.
"Where's Mr. Andrew?" I asked Sarah, the girl who sits by my side in this history class.

"I think he's not coming, because he's sick, that's what I heard about." She told me.
"I don't know..."
Sarah is really cute, she has a beautiful dark brown hair, brown eyes and tan skin. I didn't feel ugly sitting by her side because I have green light brown eyes, light brown hair and a tan skin too. I'm not pretty, neither ugly...

I was staring at Sarah when someone said really loud:
"I think we should leave!" Adam said it, he was a handsome guy but too selfish. I liked him, even with his imperfections, because he was a good friend, funny and he cared about me.

"Yea, yea." Everyone agreed.
We left the classroom and went outside.
"It's hot today, don't you think?" Adam asked me.
"Hum, hum." I nodded, while I closed my eyes and rested in his lap. I could feel the hot sunshine in my nose, the poor wind trying to mess with my hair and I could listen to the birds singing.
"Would you like to go on a date with me, Liz?" Adam asked hesitantly, interrupting the Mother Nature.
"Yea, why not?" I like to be with him, so I think I might like to go out with Adam sometimes, to know him better and that...

"Tomorrow?" He suggested.
"Okay, where?"
"In Aquamarine bar at 9 pm?"
"Hum, okay I'll be there." I smiled.
I opened my eyes and he was looking at me, smiling.

"What?" I laughed.
"You look beautiful when you're laughing."
"Don't I always look beautiful?"
We laughed and he kissed my cheek telling me that he had to go home, he was going to surprise his parents by doing the lunch.

It was almost 11 am, so I went outside the school to smoke a cigarette.
"You smoke?" Virginia looked surprised, she is a kind of Gothic person who thinks she's the only one doing bad things in this school.
"Yea, I've been smoking for a year by now."
"Really? Do you have a lighter?" She asked, while she took a cigarette from her red backpack.

"Yes," and I handed it to her.
"Thanks Liz." She smiled.
"You're welcome." I smiled back.
We smoked and I said:
"So, bye. I have to go."
"Bye." She said while smiling.

I walked to school again and went to the canteen to eat. It was full, I had no seat to sit, so I got out and went to Stars, which is a bar near the school that has hotdogs, hamburgers and fast food to eat. It's a cool place, it's always crowded by students and it has games for us to play.
I ordered a salad with chicken and a coke, and sat in the counter between someone I didn't know.

The food tasted great, I ate everything silently and then paid for it.
I got out of the bar, and saw that it was already 1h30 pm, I was going to be late for English classes which started at that time but I didn't really care...
I knocked in the classroom door and entered.
"Sorry, may I come in?" I apologized.
"Yes, whatever." Mrs. Oilly said.

She didn't care about classes, it wasn't what she wanted to do for her life. She's always telling us that her dream is to be a singer, but she doesn't sing well!
I sat down in my seat near Jay, who is an intelligent boy. I enjoy being by his side, because he knows too much for his age, I've been learning a lot with him.

"Hello Jay."
"Good Afternoon Liz." He said.
We started talking about cancer and diseases, because of his uncle. He died of cancer two years ago, and today it was his birthday.
When it rang to go out, I met Sam.
"Did you talk to Mark again?" She asked me.
"No, why?"

"He asked me to come with him to prom, but I said no too!" She told me.
"You could accept it!" I said.
"I didn't want to, are you crazy?"
"No, but I know he's hot and popular and you might want to go out with him." I said looking down.
"No, no I don't!"
"You don't?"
"Of course not Liz!"
"Hum, if you say so." I said.

I checked my phone, and I saw that my mom called me, so I texted her: Sorry mom, I just saw your call now. Why did you call me?
She replied: We talk later, ok? Bye.
"My mom wants to talk to me, and I don't know about what!" I told Sam.
"Maybe she wanted to ask you where was something, like her coat. She did it twice, remember?"
"Yes, I remember." I laughed.
When classes were over, I walked home again and noticed that my father was already at home.

"I'm here." I said while closing the door.
My dad run downstairs and hugged me tightly.
He's out for business most of the year. He's a well-succeeded lawyer and he has bought a flat in New said.

"I've got a good news!" He said smiling.
"What?" I asked him smiling too.
"We're moving to Cleveland." ...
"WHAT?!" I yelled.
