Forever Young

A simple love poem.
Older, yes! I believe we have grown,
And wiser with age we have become,
And our hearts still pine with the youth of yesterday,
For a heart that loves remains forever young.

I look at your face and still see the image,
I've held in my wallet since we became one,
And my heart skips a beat, like it did way back then,
For a heart that loves remains forever young.

When I hold your hand it's as charming as ever,
And to hold it is to be comfortably warm,
For the security you bring puts zest in my heart,
And a heart that loves remains forever young.

When we steal a kiss of romantic interlude,
The memories conjured keep my heart strong,
And the years spin back to the days of our youth,
For a heart that loves remains forever young.

When I lay beside you, your heart beating with mine,
I swear that the beat plays our favorite song,
And I'm always assured that you'd swear the same,
For a heart that still loves, remains forever young!
