If There Was A Way

Writing this was easier than trying to talk to him.
If there was a way to make you see,
What you mean to me,
Then I would lend you the eyes
So you could finally see
What could be.

But I am not magic,
So this I cannot do,
It's up to you to see
Beyond these defenses
And find the real me.

I can see that you doubt me
Your eyes give it away,
You think I'm lying
But I cannot lie,
All I ever wanted was
To be held in your arms.

But as they can see
I want you to see that
All I want is a chance.
