I'm Hard on Friends

Living and Friendship.
I'm hard on friends,
I'm hard on their families,
I don't mean to be,
But that's how it ends.

I don't hurt deliberately,
I am generous to a fault,
Always first to lend a hand,
But lately have no friends around.

My fault is, I look into the eye,
I smile and shake hands,
Never give a word I can't keep,
Keep my honor till the day I die.

But those values are very old,
Generations now don't need,
Or know the names of neighbors,
Unless it's something bought or sold.

I'm hard on friends,
I'm hard on their families,
I don't mean to be,
But that's how it ends.

The ones that I keep,
I keep for life, they know,
The rule that what you sow,
Someday you also will reap.
Scale of 1-10, what do you think?
1. Bad.
2. Not good.
3. Not well thought out.
4. So-so.
5. Ok.
6. Good.
7. Well thought out.
8. Excellent.
9. Spectacular!
10. Over the top! The best!
