It's Royally Complicated - Prologue

A new story idea, something I've been working on and I really enjoy writing it. Let me know what you guys think.
Nineteen-year-old twin princes, Mark and Matthew, and their younger seventeen-year-old twin sisters, princess Rosaline and Rosemarie have grown up having every day of their lives planned out for them. They know what is expected from them and they do their best to live up to the expectations of their parents, the King and Queen. But when Rosaline finds out that she is being forced into marriage, something in her snaps and she decides that, for the first time ever, she's going to disobey her parents.

With the help of Rosemarie, she sneaks out of the palace for a few hours, just to know what freedom feels like. There she meets Shane and shares an instant connection with him. She doesn't tell him she's the princess. They speak the same language and he seems to understand her better than anyone else she's ever met. But when she realizes her time of freedom is up, she tells Shane that can never see him again and runs off, not knowing that she would, indeed, see Shane again. Because he's got a secret identity of his own and that makes things a lot more complicated than she could have ever imagined.

Back at the palace, Rosemarie finds out a young guard named Ethan had caught her helping Rosaline escape. She has to beg him not to turn them in to the King and Queen and he agrees but with the condition that she now owes him. Rosemarie is forced to spend a few hours in this guard's company and gets intrigued by his story. She doesn't know it yet, but she falls for him and when she finally realizes it, she's in way too deep to quit cold turkey. She knows she's playing with fire because her parents would never approve of her being with someone as common as him, but he makes her see the world from a different point of view. She's always been known as nothing but the youngest daughter of the King and Queen, but with Ethan she doesn't feel like the King and Queen's daughter, she feels for the first time in her life like Rosemarie.

Matthew has been in love with the same girl for five years and she doesn't know it. He's the shy one in the family. Chanelle is beautiful and fun. She's also the princess' best friend. When she asks him to a ball that celebrates the marriage of the two kingdoms coming together, he's ecstatic. But he, as well as his sisters knew how dangerous it is to fall in love. He knows his parents won't approve of their relationship if anything must happen because she's black and they're not. But he can't stop his feelings for her and he knows that the only thing that could hurt more than disappointing his family, is knowing that Chanelle considers him "a good friend".

Mark has the least complicated story by comparison. Jeremy, his best friend since he was five has a new girlfriend and she's the hottest girl he has ever seen in his life. Mark has always had a weakness for a pretty face and when Aquamarine stars showing interest in him, Mark has no idea what to do. He doesn't know if he can control his nature, even for his best friend.
