Just A Dream - Chapter Two

Please read and tell me what you think. I knows it's kinda like a cliche love story. But that's how I want it to be.
Tryouts for the Musical

"Summer loving had me a blast.
Summer loving happened so fast."

"Wow Nevaeh, you were really good!"
"Well, thanks Danny. You were amazing yourself. You'll get the part for sure."
"I don't want that part if you're not going to be Sandy."
"Awww." Now that this audition is over, he's definitely going to forget about me. There's no possible way that I could get the part.
"Well, I better get to class, I'll see you around."

"Oh great! I can't even catch my bus." I mumble to myself as I start walking home. A 10 minute bus ride, gosh this is gonna suck. And of course I just decided to try to look cute today and wore my only pair of heels. Gosh, this day can't get any worse. 'As a car of Danny and his "jock" friends drive-by.' Well, I guess it can.

"Hey, Nevaeh wait up!" I hear as Danny jumps out of the car and runs over to me.
"I saw the board Danny, Congratulations on getting the part. I'm sure you and Lindsay (Stuck-up cheerleader) will be amazing in the play, and hey, I'll come watch."
"But Nevaeh..."
"Better get back to your friends, wouldn't want to keep them waiting." I cut him off. And continued walking. Who was I kidding, there's no possible way that he would ever like in a million years be into me. And I just need to get him out of my head and the easiest way is to just ignore him. I'll be better this way. I try to convince myself. I put in my headphones and just kept walking. And then I feel someone grab my elbow and turn me around.

"What do you want, Danny?" I say as I take out my headphones.
"What happened? What did I do?"
"Danny, you didn't do anything."
"Then, why are you mad at me?"
"I'm not mad. It's just that, I guess, I started to fall for you. But I realized that there's no chance for me with a guy like you. And I just have to move on. So this is me putting back up my walls that should never have been down."

"What makes you think that you wouldn't have a chance with me?"
"Come on. Look at you, then look at me. Two completely different social circles. I don't even have friends. And you're captain of the football team. This isn't some fairytale cliché, it's reality. And the sooner I face it the better."
"Maybe it's time for your fairytale ending."
He said with this queer smirk on his face and he started to lean in and I felt his lips on mine. First soft and then harder as he pushed his lips onto mine and put his arms around my waist pulling me closer to him. He pulled away.

"I'm not going to be in the play." He said as he placed a kiss on my forehead. "Nevaeh, I know you barely know me. And I can tell you have trust issues, but will you please give me the chance to be the happiest guy in the world and try to make you the happiest girl in the world, by being my girlfriend?"

Standing there like an idiot, speechless, I don't know what to do because I can't force the words yes out of my mouth, I just slowly put my hand on his shoulder and kissed him.
"Is that a yes?"
I shake my head and we go back to kissing.

Falling for a guy you'd never have a chance with sucks. But getting that chance is the most amazing thing ever. Something's different, This guy isn't like other guys, The way he acts, the way he treats me. I never thought I'd find anything like this. It's not love, but it could definitely lead to it. I just hope I don't screw anything up like I normally do. This is just absolutely perfect. How can a day go from being horribly wrong to perfectly amazing? And since when does stuff like this happen to me? This is too good to be true. It has to be a dream.

I woke up the next morning with this strange feeling in my tummy, but it felt nice. I hop out of bed and jump in the shower. I actually have time to put some effort into my appearance, and since I have a boyfriend now, it couldn't hurt to wear a little bit of makeup. I put on bottom and top eyeliner along with a light shade of gray and some mascara making a sort of shadowy eye effect. I pull on my white skinny jeans and pair them with a blue top to match my eyes. And now for my hair? I think I'll wear it down today. First time since going to school here. I brush it out and leave it down not doing anything to it, but spraying it with a little hair spray, so it doesn't get too frizzy. My hair is naturally wavy and makes these cute little curls when I leave it down. I actually think I look pretty. I hope Danny likes it. He's probably not gonna act all girlfriend-boyfriend at school... maybe I shouldn't talk to him? I don't want to embarrass him. Ugh. No. Danny's not like that. I guess I'll see when I get to school.

"Good Morning Beautiful!" Danny greets me as I walk into the school walking beside me and holding my hand.
"Good Morning." I say with what has to be the goofiest smile.
"You look a little different today."
"Uh, I just put on a little makeup." Oh no. He hates it!
"Well, you look simply gorgeous. But you don't need makeup to look gorgeous."
"Thank you."
He quickly kisses me before we walk into homeroom hand in hand while everyone around us were starring. But for the first time in my life, I don't care. "After all, life is too short to be anything but happy."

"Nevaeh!" I hear someone yell. I turned around to see Danny running down the hallway to get to me. "You should come over."
"But I have homework Danny."
"Then we can just do homework. Pweeassee?"
"Hahah, okay."
"You are so adorable Danny."
"No silly, that's you."

We got to his house and we went out to the backyard and started to do homework. We both had Precalculus homework, but then we both had different homework too.
"I hate this."
"Hahah, Danny this stuff is so easy."
"I know, but it's so lame."
"Yeah. School's usually pretty lame."
"No, school's pretty amazing. I get to see my beautiful girlfriend."
"Oh. And who's that?"
"You." He said slowly as he placed a kiss on my lips. "Can't we just not do homework?"
"But I have to get it done."
"And you will."
"Uh, idk."
"Let's just finish Precalculus."

"Finally, we're done."
"So what do you want to do now?"
"I want to get to know you more. Wanna play 20 questions?"
"1 - What's your favorite color?"
"Pink. What's yours?"
"Uhm, Blue. 2 - What's your favorite movie?"
"The Notebook. Haha, why's this stuff matter?"
"You're my girlfriend. I want to know everything about you."

We continued asking each other questions and laughing the whole time. He just can't get any more amazing. I've never actually had a guy care about me. They've just used me for something or another.

"Okay, I better be getting home."
"Alright. I'll see you tomorrow."
He said as he kissed me goodbye and I started to walk home.
