Martian Child

Have you ever felt like you don't fit in? Like you're from a different planet? That's how I feel. In my family of five I'm the Martian child. This kind of explains how I feel...
I'm the Martian child
The one that's been disconnected
Yes I'm a little wild
But should I really be rejected?

I'm the oddball
The wrong leg, rather than the right
Whenever I fall
Nobodies my shining knight

My face might be the same petty face as there's
But underneath its ugly
And through all these years
I finally see that I'm not the one who's fugly

I'm unique
Separating myself form an unwanted life
I'm not as weak
To their words that cut like a knife

I'll pass them
And stretch far beyond there simple pathetic lives
For I am the Martian child
The one that will survive
