Momma

To you momma I love you.
Momma I'm laying the shadows,
Hiding from the world.
Hoping, wishing, dreaming that I could still be your little girl.
Because responsibilities are scary.
I just can't stand the casualties.

Momma I remember.....
When you told me to never cry.
When you told me to never let my spirits die.
When you held my hand and said you'll catch me no matter where I land.

Momma why...
Did grandma have to die the way she did?
Does time keep moving even if my world feels like its ended.

Momma I'm laying in the shadows,
Hiding from the world.
Hoping, wishing, dreaming that I can still be your little girl.
Because responsibilities are scary.
I just stand the casualties.
Does this poem make you think?
Yes
No
Maybe, I'm not sure
