My Mother

This is a poem I wrote from my mother's point of view.
Have faith in me, my love,
Believe me when I tell you, I care,
No matter how far away I go,
No matter how long I stay away.

Our love will brave the distance,
Until death do us part, you are mine, I am yours,
My health under attack, I pray for relief,
Our darling baby girl, protect her with your life.

Let her grow up knowing that I love her,
That I am watching her from Heaven,
July 31, 2000, the day I left Earth behind.

Promise me, you'll find happiness again,
Promise me, you'll try,
I love you, until we meet again,
Goodbye.
