Nigeria at 50

To mark the 50th birthday of Nigeria by seeing Nigeria in my own perspective.
Just like the case of an infant
Watched over by her caring mother
Till it reaches a scrupulous instant
When her mother will no longer bother

There truly lies our great nation
Molded by our past leaders
Till it reaches a state of function
When we are meant to gather as leaders

At this golden age of ours
We must make a bright reawakening
That we may glow like the flowers
With the sweet nectar's as our making

What a reverenced golden jubilee
Our people will always recollect
When the beats of successful melody
Thrill them for whom to elect
