Nothing Compared To You

You want me to find 'the one' for me. You never know it was you.
He's a med student,
He receives a near perfect score on the SAT,
He parts and then gels his hair to perfection.

But he doesn't build sandcastles,
And he doesn't eat sour patch kid gummies,
And he's never been on a trampoline in his life.

He says the right things,
He never makes me cry,
And he's always on time.

But he doesn't get caught up in movies or books,
He doesn't have scars from trying to learn new tricks on a skateboard,
And he doesn't know how to ride a bike.

He speaks five languages,
He tells me I'm beautiful,
And he always remembers my birthday.

But he doesn't wear converse,
And he'll never be an artist,
He doesn't talk with his hands.

He's everything you said I,
Could,
Should,
Would,
Find in a man,
But he's nothing compared to you.
