One Day I'll Meet You

This poem is about simply waiting for the love that God has promised you.
One day I'll meet you and,
I'll love you unconditionally,
The way I've always dreamed.

I'll finally be the one,
Who can't stop thinking of and,
Want to spend all my time with you.

You'll be the one who,
Will make me love you,
More than you could ever know.

I'll finally be able to say,
You're the one I've been waiting for,
And at the end of the day I've missed so.

One day I'll meet the one,
The person God designed just for me,
And me for him.

But until that day,
I'll keep writing to you,
This ghost of my future.

I'll keep praying for you and,
For the day God sees fit,
That I will finally deserve you.

Until that day He decides it's time,
God will continue,
To mold and shape us both.

So that on that day,
When our eyes first meet,
We'll already know.

This is the first day,
Of us together, until our last days,
On this earth and through forever.
