Anxiety is caused due to stress. We all know that. As such, due to the increase in stress these days, anxiety has become a part of our lives, causing more and more people to face sever psychological disorders because they fail to pay heed to the anxiety symptoms. Tip # 1

Feelings and sentiments are good. However, don't let them be a cause for anxiety. It is fine to feel sentiments, but learn to detach and discipline yourself when needed. Don't let it be very easy for someone to cause grief to you.

Make it a practice to remind yourself of the good things in your life. I mean, all the positive things that you have going for you. Remind yourself of all these things before you go to sleep and when you wake up. This way, you will sleep and wake up with a smile on your face.

Tip # 4
Get used to the use of self affirmations. It is sort of like self hypnosis, and it works. At several points of time in the day, like when you wake up or while you are driving to work, just keep repeating your positive self-affirmations. Make yourself believe in YOU!

Tip # 5
Idle mind is a devils workshop. I truly believe in this statement. Don't let your mind be idle. It is human tendency to consider the worst when nothing is happening. Keep yourself mentally occupied at all times, be it strategizing, hobbies, networking, fantasizing, it's your choice.

Keep a daily target for yourself. Don't go overboard, stick to a realistic one. Make an agenda of all the things that HAVE to get done in the day. Make sure you finish everything. Even if it means that you stay up a little bit longer, push yourself to achieve your target.

Talk it out. Whenever something or someone is stressing you out and causing you anxiety, discuss it with a friend. However, don't make it like an hour long shrink session. Just tell them about it in detail and go on with your regular activities. It is one of the relaxation techniques for anxiety.

Talk to yourself, with only positivity in mind. Reaffirm yourself of your capabilities and tell yourself that you can make all your dreams come true. It is a big way to get a big smile. Dancing when you are all alone also helps. At this time you can dance just the way you want without worrying about how you look. (I am sure you look gorgeous!)

Watch lighthearted movies and comedies. Listen to a lot of music of your favorite type and sing whenever you get a chance. If there is anything stressing coming on TV, switch the channel. That is what remote controls are there for!

Last but not the least, sex is known to be quite a stress buster and a great way to get rid of anxiety as well. A good home run will definitely leave you feeling good about yourself and will make you forget about whatever it is that is stressing you out! Plus, the workout will help you look good as well!
