Part of Me (9)

Hey guys, trying to get into a routine again.
"STYX!" I yelled loudly in the silent cabin, and almost instantly Styx was dragging the unwelcome intruder from my bed and throwing him on the floor. She stepped on his wrist and had a dark protective look in her eye that I wouldn't like to be on the receiving end of.

"Who the hell are you?" She barked at him. I sat up in bed and turned on a lamp and reached for Ray's shirt. I took in his appearance. He was good-looking. So much so, that he must've known it. He was your completely overrated tall, dark and handsome. His dark hair was cut short and it was styled up at the front in the modern 'cool' style. He had gray eyes, that in the darkness looked almost black. His face looked both innocent and arrogant, at the same time. He had young features; big expressive eyes, chubby cheeks, and a small nose. His jawline was chiseled, showing clearly he wasn't a boy, he was a man. His chin had a dimple in it, which many girls had fallen for. While I was staring at this stranger, Styx was also staring, and he was staring at me, with the same amount of concentration.

"I'll only ask again, who are you?" Styx asked, now putting all her weight on his arm. He didn't even flinch, which I thought was really hot. A guy who can handle pain without showing it, instantly ups his sex appeal for me. While they were glaring at each other with seemingly mutual hatred, I studied him more. He was topless, something for some reason I hadn't noticed before. He was only wearing black boxer shorts. His chest was spectacular. He had a perfect six-pack that I wanted to run my fingers over, and his biceps were bulging. Along his chest were an array of jagged scars, faded into almost nothing, but most definitely there. I hated being one of those girls who think scars or tattoos were hot, but it's who I am, and on him, both were.

"My name is Thane, son of Ares, God of war." He said it ever so quietly, but his powerful masculine voice carried through the quiet villa.
"What are you doing here, in my sister's bed?" She still looked dangerous, but now so did he.
"It's tradition in this camp that one of the sons of Ares, takes... advantage of a daughter of Aphrodite. You are the first to break tradition." He looked at her with ultimate disgust and at me with something a lot stronger, but something I couldn't place. I pulled the shirt tighter around me and listened to Styx berating him.
"So this camp tradition is that a son of Ares RAPES a girl of Aphrodite?! Why?!" She whispered furiously at him, clearly wanting to scream.

He stared at her with calm gray eyes and turned his head to me. "Would you please ask your sister to get off of me, so I can explain myself. I promise you no harm." He looked at me, and I felt myself falling into his gray, gray eyes.

"Styx, please. I'm sure you're hurting him." I pleaded, looking into her eyes imploringly. She stepped off his arm, and in the same second, he rolled up his torso and stood. Standing, he towered over me at 6'3". He sat down on the bed and looked around, checking out the surroundings.

"Nice place. Better than the Ares cabin." He finished inspecting and settled his gaze on my lips, and then licked his. An immediate red blush spread over my body like wildfire, and Styx looked at me in disgust.

"Tell me more about the camp traditions." She asked, sitting on the floor. I smiled at her, really, really proud. She saw I liked what I saw, and decided to bury part of the hatchet. For now.

"Well, for starters I would like to apologize, for the whole... bed thing. We only have that tradition, because biologically, children of Ares and children of Aphrodite are drawn to each other. You could say we're soulmates." He was staring at his hands and I sank down onto the bed.

"How do you choose, who does it?" I asked quietly. I've had a lot worse happen to me than attempted rape.
"Your, erm... soulmate is supposed to do it." He mumbled.
"How do you know if you're my soulmate?" I asked. Quite shocked. I've just been told this unbelievably hot guy is my soulmate.

"The guy usually knows first. They see it on sight. The girls usually figure out after they've had their first kiss, and established an emotional connection. I've already seen the stages of our life together." He explained it all very slowly and quietly.

"So, you've already seen us... doing... stuff?" I asked, blushing like crazy. In the back of my head and in the corner of my eye, Styx left, leaving us alone.

He nodded, and looked up at me and grinned, leaving me speechless, with a silly smile on my face. I leaned over to where he was sitting and he tilted his head towards me. I closed the distance so just our noses were touching. He let out a hungry groan from his throat and pinned my arms to my sides and pulled me tight towards him. His lips met mine in our first kiss, and it was indescribable. He bit my bottom lip and I let out a surprised moan that spurred him on. We just carried on kissing like this, one of his arms around my waist, holding my hands together at my back, his thumb rubbing small circles, causing me to arch my back and push my chest into him. His other hand was on the back of my neck, keeping my head in place and rubbing in slow, agonizingly slow circles. It wasn't until a few minutes later that he released me from that amazing kiss. The first thing I noticed is that his eyes were possibly the most amazing shade of blue I've ever seen.

"I thought you might like to breathe." He said softly, stroking my cheek with his thumbs. Yeah, breathing is good. I thought. The blue of his eyes were making me dizzy.

"You don't think it's strange, we've only known each other for five minutes and we're already making out?" I asked, still in awe of those blue, blue eyes.

"No. What's the point in taking it slow if we already know we're going to end up together." He smiled at me, and looking at my lips and then licking his again. Which did very strange things to my stomach.

"But it feels weird to me. I don't think I should be feeling these things about someone I've just met. You don't really know anything about me, and I don't really know anything about you!" I said, knowing Ares was the God of war, wondering if he would take this the wrong way and go off in a sulk. Instead he smiled.

"This is going to be tough. Not touching you. But if you want something, I'll go to the end of the world to get it for you, and if you want to know more about me then fine. We'll do it tomorrow." He grinned and leaned back a little, but I had more to say.
"Thane, wait. We can still do, this-" I looked at his lips. "But I don't want to go any further, just yet." I said, and his face lit up, his eyes even bluer.

"That's perfect. Anything you want, you'll get. But right now, you need your sleep. You've got a big day tomorrow, and I'll come and pick you up before breakfast, I promise. About 9.20? Go to sleep now, Aqua." He said, and he pushed me down gently, and covered me with the warm quilt. He kissed me once on the forehead and melted away into the shadows. If I didn't know better, I'd say I had been dreaming...
