I couldn't help but to stare at his gorgeous face. Those luscious lips, the way his hair hung over his ear, the gleam in his dark blue eyes was enough to send any girl shivers. Too bad Daniel never paid any attention to me. I mean, after all, I was the tall weird girl; dark black hair, pale skin, lanky body, and piercing green eyes. I knew, from the first time I laid eyes on him, that he would never look at me the way I did but hey... a girl could dream right?
"Raven?" I heard, Liz whisper to me.
"Yeah, what's up?" I ask, looking away from Daniel.
"Did you hear anything that I said?"
"No," I replied, shaking my head, weaving the thick black mass, that I called my hair, between my fingers.
"I asked you who you were going to ask to the dance?" She responded. I glanced at Liz.
She was a beautiful. Although, we called ourselves "emo" she had tomato-red hair, high cheek bones, a beautiful smile and her hazel eyes always twinkled when she talked. You would never know that Liz was emo until you turned to look at me.
"Hello? Earth to Raven." Startled, I gave a quick response, "I'm not sure. I don't really want to go."
"You have to go Rave. I need you there with me!" She retorted, just as the bell was ringing.
Liz continued to blab as we walked to our next class. We had the first four classes together... and sometimes it got quite annoying since Liz's personality is so different from mine. "So Friday night, I figure we could go shopping for dresses. What do you say Rave?" I quickly nodded, glancing up from the ground, eyes meeting up with the sexy George.
George Tillmen talked to me. He hung out with me. I had what you call a "real" crush on George since the 3rd grade. With him, there was at least a 25% chance of us being "together" unlike with Daniel.
"Hey... Raven," George says. My heart was beating so fast and loud, I thought it was going to jump right out of my chest. I mutter a quiet, "hi."
"How are you today?" He casually asks.
"Great. And you?"
"I would be really good if you would be my date to the dance." I look down at my calculus book. "Uhhh...," is all I could muster before Liz jumps in.
"She would love to go with you!" She glances at me and shrugs her shoulders.
George smiles at me. "Yes or no?"
"Uhhh, I'm not sure if I am going to the dance George."
"Alright well, let me know before this Friday," he says, turning to walk away but stops. "By the way, I would love for you to see you at the game right Friday." He winks and walks out the side entrance.
Liz screams. "Rave! That's awesome! Georgie-Porgie just asked you out... TWICE! You are one lucky girl!" She exclaimed as we ran off down the corridor.
