Think Of You Still

A true love never dies.
The twilight falls oh-so soft and gentle,
A darkness slowly creeps into my room,
It comforts me with the warmth of a shadow,
I close my eyes and I think of you.

A gentle breeze reacts like your soft breath,
So comforting as it touches my skin,
I can almost feel your soft fingered caress,
I can almost taste your sweet breath again.

The cool air dries the tears I've been crying,
As I reminisce the things that we've done,
The softly lapped shore that we walked along,
That washed our bare footprints from the sand.

I can almost smell the sweet scented roses,
That always adorned your windowsill,
It brings a certain comfort to my muses,
As I lie in the dark and think of you still.
