We're Catching Fire

We're set in our ways and we're too close to the end.
I've been wasting my life,
Just wasting my time,
Just trying to find,
All the little things,
But in my mind,
I am so blind,
People say,
To not dwell on the bad,
Because you'll miss the good,
But it's only the bad,
People ever understood,
You hardly capture,
Everything you're after,
So make sure you take a good look.

And it's almost like we're catching fire,
Nothing we do can be right,
Almost like we're climbing higher,
To fall down to bed tonight,
And everything we say,
Or maybe we do,
Could end it all for someone we knew,
But nothing will change,
We're all set in our ways.

But we could be wasting our lives,
On dreams we'll never find,
But I don't really care,
I could be anywhere,
And in the moment of time,
I could say a line,
Then it'll pass onto another,
Who would say it to their brother,
And I know that in my mind,
That we shared a little time,
It's not about the good,
It's only about the bad or the evil,
In the end we're only people,
And I don't think the blame,
Can be put on one man,
We've all got blood on our hands.

And it's almost like we're catching fire,
Nothing we do can be right,
Almost like we're climbing higher,
To fall down to bed tonight,
And everything we say,
Or maybe we do,
Could end it all for someone we knew,
But nothing will change,
We're all set in our ways.

And in that little smoldering fire,
We finally see the truth,
It's all a way too late,
There's nothing, we can do.
