Who is Lacey Holloman? - Chapter 3

I'm back guys sorry. I am trying to be a bit more strict with myself. I need to write the chapter more often. I'm sorry it's been so long since I have wrote. Pic is of Wesley.
I wake up because of an annoying beeping noise that won't shut up. It's greatly annoying, I look around the room and see a nurse beside one of the machines. I try to talk but my throat is too dry so only a groan comes out. She looks over alarmed and then smiles at me.

"Hello, I'm Sarah. I'm your nurse during the night," she says sweetly.
"H-hi," I croak out.
"I'm sorry you must be thirsty, right?" She leaves the room and comes back with ice chips, "Listen I am going to put a few of these in you mouth, I know you want a drink but you can't have one yet."

I nod and she puts the ice chip in my mouth though it is small, it feels better already.

"We were so scared, you wasn't going to pull through." She says looking at me.
"What do you mean? Where is my brothers," she looks sympathetic.

"Dear you have been in a coma for the last 6 months and he went home to sleep in his bed for the first time in weeks," I panic trying to place it all together and it hits me what happened. I can feel my chest tighten and I start having an anxiety attack. I have had them before so I knew how they feel. I can hear the heart monitor starts beeping fast and Sarah telling me to calm down that she will have to sedate me, but I could felt a pinch in my arm and then everything slowed down and I drifted back into sleep.

I crack my eyes open and realize that it is nighttime and the only light there is coming from the bathroom. I look around the room and my eye catches something in the chair at the end of my bed. I look harder and I see a sleeping figure covered in a cover from home and I see light brown hair sticking out from the top of the quilt, "Wes?" I whisper.

"Huh, what? Oh my gosh Lacey you're awake," he says sitting up in his chair a little straighter, he gets up and sits in the chair beside my bed, "I have missed you so much. I thought you were gonna die quite a few times."

I can see his eyes feel with tears, "There's no way I would die and leave you here to take care of Danny and keep Alex in line." I say jokingly then more seriously I ask, "Has mom been up here at all?"

He looks down and I know the answer but I want to hear it, "She is really mad at you for what you did." He says, "I know she is."

He sighs and sinks in his chair a little bit, "Where's Danny?" I ask.
"At home with Alex, we both decided it wouldn't be good if he saw you this way. I mean I know he wouldn't remember but what if he did," he rubs his face and yawns.

"He can come see me now right or can I leave or what?"
"I don't know we will have to talk to the doctor and see what he says."
"Ok Wes."
"I'm so glad you made it. I don't know what we would without you."
"I love ya, Wes. Thank you for always being there for me and for being such a great brother."
"You're welcome, I love ya too Lace. You need to get some sleep," he says yawning which causes me to yawn as well.
"You're right, I'm so tired."
"Goodnight Lace."
"Night Wes." I say closing my eyes and falling a sleep instantly.
