Will You Ever Come Back And Hold On

I'm not sure if we're at the same place anymore.
Head anchored down in this snowy street,
Dragging the smoke from her empty beat,
She knows she'll just end up getting no sleep,
And so she walks around just dragging her feet,
Once a girl of only ten years old,
She asked her daddy what secrets he holds,
And then he looked in her eyes feeling stone cold,
And he told his daughter, just don't let go.

I know you're feeling like you done me wrong,
But please believe me when it's all my fault,
You can't trust these stories that we're always told,
As long as you love me, I'll never let go.

I've been staring at this blank page,
Waiting for something to replace the pain,
Hoping your love will come and take it all away,
But my head says that you'll never stay,
It's like you're sailing from something pure,
And jumping on any person's door,
I hope you found your way and something more,
Because my heart's left broken on the shattered shore.

I never knew that something that we had,
Would end up falling out of place so bad.

I know you're feeling like you done me wrong,
But please believe me when it's all my fault,
You can't trust these stories that we're always told,
As long as you love me, I'll never let go.

I lay awake on the cold floor,
Waiting for something to close the doors,
A little closure's nice but I'm asking for more,
Will you ever come back and hold on.
